Depth and access can change the suction requirements of a spine procedure. A standard-length Frazier may work well for many cases, while deeper approaches can benefit from additional working length. Neuro Enterprises offers ChicagoTip™ Frazier in both a 16 cm Standard configuration and a 20 cm Long configuration.

Why a longer Frazier suction can matter

Anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF), lateral approaches, and minimally invasive spine procedures may involve deeper operative corridors. The 20 cm ChicagoTip Long configuration provides additional reach while retaining the same self-cleaning concept used in the Standard device.

Standard and Long ChicagoTip Frazier models

  • 9 Fr: CT209 Standard / CT209L Long

  • 10 Fr: CT210 Standard / CT210L Long

  • 12 Fr: CT212 Standard / CT212L Long

  • 14 Fr: CT214 Standard / CT214L Long

  • Standard working length: 16 cm

  • Long working length: 20 cm

The self-cleaning mechanism stays the same

Both lengths use ChicagoTip’s embedded retractable stylet. When material obstructs the lumen, the stylet can be advanced and retracted to clear the pathway without disconnecting the suction from the tubing.
